Completion, Placement, and Licensure Rates
Statistics below are from the 2023 ACCSC Annual Report.
Barber 9 Month Program
Graduation: 91% or 10 of the 11 students in the full-time 1200-hour barber program enrolled between 03/01/2021 to 02/28/2022 graduated. The remaining 1 student dropped out to pursue another career. One student was not included in the calculation due to transferring to another program.
Placement: 80% or 8 of the 10 graduates available for placement reported finding jobs in the barber industry.
Licensure: Of the 10 graduates, 7 reported back with exam results. 100% or 7 of the 7 reporting graduates passed the state board exam.
Barber 11 Month Program
Graduation: 100% or 2 of the 2 students in the full-time 1500-hour barber program enrolled between 12/01/2020 to 11/30/2021 graduated.
Placement: 100% or 2 of the 2 graduates available for placement reported finding jobs in the barber industry.
Licensure: Of the 2 graduates, 2 reported back with exam results. 100% or 2 of the 2 reporting graduates passed the state board exam.
Barber 20 Month Program
Graduation: 100% or 4 of the 4 students in the part time 1500-hour barber program enrolled between 10/01/2019 to 09/30/2020 graduated.
Placement: 100% or 3 of the 3 graduates available for placement reported finding a job in the barber industry. One graduate was not available for placement due to furthering their education.
Licensure: Of the 4 graduates, 4 reported back with exam results. 100% or 4 of the 4 reporting graduates passed the state board exam.
Cosmetology 11 Month Program
Graduation: 78% or 51 out of 65 students in the full-time cosmetology program enrolled between 12/01/2020 to 11/30/2021 graduated. Of the remaining 15 students, 14 dropped to pursue another career. One student was not included in the calculation due to transferring to another program within the academy.
Placement: 92% or 47 of the 51 graduates available for placement reported finding jobs in the cosmetology industry.
Licensure: Of the 51 graduates, 44 reported back with exam results. 100% or 44 of the 44 reporting graduates passed the state board exam.
Cosmetology 20 Month Program
Graduation: 69% or 20 of the 29 students in the part time cosmetology program enrolled between 10/01/2019 to 09/30/2020 graduated. Of the remaining 9 students, 9 dropped to pursue another career. One student was not included in the calculation due to transferring to another program within the academy.
Placement: 80% or 16 of the 20 graduates available for placement reported finding jobs in the cosmetology industry.
Licensure: Of the 20 graduates, 16 reported back with exam results. 100% or 16 of the 16 reporting graduates passed the state board exam.
Full Specialist (600 Hours) 5 Month Program
Graduation: 93% or 26 of the 28 students in the full-time full specialist program enrolled between 09/01/2021 to 08/31/2022 graduated. The remaining 2 students dropped to pursue another career.
Placement: 62% or 16 of the 26 graduates available for placement reported finding jobs in the full specialist industry.
Licensure: 100% of the graduates passed the academy’s final exam.
Full Specialist (600 Hours) 7 Month Program
Graduation: 92% or 12 of the 13 students in the part time full specialist program enrolled between 06/01/2020 to 05/31/2021 graduated. The remaining 1 student dropped to pursue another career.
Placement: 80% or 20 of the 25 graduates available for placement reported finding jobs in the full specialist industry.
Licensure: 100% of the graduates passed the academy’s final exam.
Massage Therapy 6 Month Program
Graduation: 100% or 3 of the 3 students in the full time massage therapy program enrolled between 07/01/2021 to 06/30/2022 graduated.
Placement: 100% or 2 of the 2 graduates available for placement reported finding jobs in the full specialist industry. One graduate was unavailable for placement due to furthering their education.
Licensure: Of the 3 graduates, 3 reported back with exam results. 100% or 3 of the 3 reporting graduates passed the state board exam.
Skin Care Specialist 6 Month Program
Graduation: 100% or 14 of the 14 students in the full-time skin care specialist program enrolled between 07/01/2021 to 06/30/2022 graduated.
Placement: 85% or 11 of the 13 graduates available for placement reported finding jobs in the skin care industry. One graduate was not available for placement due to being an international student and returning to her country of origin.
Licensure: 100% of the graduates passed the academy’s final exam.

STATE LICENSURE RECIPROCITY DISCLOSURE
Summit Salon Academy will provide a program of study that meets minimum curriculum requirements as prescribed by the state of Florida.
For states outside of Florida: the institution has not made a determination on whether the program meets other states’ educational/licensure requirements.

Summit Salon Academy does not provide training or activities out-of-state. All programs offered at the institution lead to professional licensure in the state of Florida. All students, including those who live in bordering states, are notified prior to enrollment that education received at Summit Salon Academy follows the Florida Council on Independent Education regulations which require:

If a student needs additional assistance with determining requirements for other states, they can seek the assistance of the Academy’s Director of Education.
Additionally, the Transfer Policy indicates that Summit Salon Academy does not guarantee transferability of credits earned to any other institution.” Per the transfer policy in the catalog, our curriculum has not been reviewed for compliance with other states’ professional licensure requirements.
