Summit Salon Academy of Tampa Determining How Best to Help Students Affected By Regency Beauty Institute Closure

In the wake of Regency Beauty Institute closing all 79 campuses nationwide, including Carrollwood, Summit Salon Academy of Tampa is working to determine how it may help affected students finish their educations. “We are saddened to learn Regency Beauty Institute abruptly closed its doors and we are troubled that students have been left in the lurch,” says Joanne Powers, co-owner of Summit Salon Academy of Tampa. “Summit Salon Academy has set the standard for innovative cosmetology education and we hope Regency students will consider attending our school. We want to do everything we can to ensure these students get the opportunity to complete their educations, and we are taking the necessary steps to make sure they make the best possible choice.” Affected Regency students can apply to attend Summit Salon Academy of Tampa through an expedited application process. Additionally, Summit Salon Academy Tampa will waive the enrollment fee, transfer hours and some students may be eligible for a transfer scholarship to help offset expenses already paid to another institution. “We have been in business in the Tampa Bay Area for 30 years,” says Heather Bagby, co-owner of Summit Salon Academy Tampa. “We own five salons and the school. The beauty industry is our heart, soul and passion. We want every student to be successful.” Regency students can inquire about applying to Summit Salon Academy of Tampa by calling the 813.908.8020 or Adrianna Powers, Director of Admissions at 813.928.1670.
